Healthcare and aged care

One launcher for clinical and corporate systems, access that follows rotations, and a record of who reached what.

The problem

Clinical staff move between wards, sites and shifts, and they will not tolerate a login that slows down care. So the shortcuts appear: a shared terminal that stays signed in, a password on a sticky note, an account that outlives the placement it was created for.

Meanwhile the systems holding patient information are exactly the ones you will be asked to account for when something goes wrong.

What Besecure does about it

One way in, on every device

Staff sign in once and open what they have been granted from a single launcher. Applications that support no single sign-on are reached through the Besecure browser extension, so the awkward clinical systems are inside the same model rather than exempt from it.

Built for people who rotate

Access is inherited from role, department and group membership. A registrar changing rotation is a role change, and their access moves with it in one edit rather than twelve.

Fewer reasons to share a login

Where an account genuinely cannot be individual, shared identities handle it inside Besecure with the access still assigned and recorded — instead of a credential circulating on paper.

An answer for the incident review

Sign-ins, sign-outs and administrative changes are held centrally with configurable retention, so "who could open that record in June" is a report rather than an investigation.

Questions this usually raises

Where is our data held?

Besecure runs each organisation in its own isolated tenant. If data residency is a procurement requirement for you, ask us during the conversation and we will confirm the current hosting position in writing rather than have you rely on a web page.

Will this slow clinical staff down?

The intent is the opposite: one sign-in and one launcher in place of a password per system. Where a second factor is required, it is an authenticator app or a one-time code.

Does Besecure store patient data?

No. Besecure is the access layer in front of your applications — it holds identities, access assignments and the audit trail, not the clinical records those applications manage.
